Whether the water feature is a small fountain at the end of a path or a waterfall as a focal point in your backyard, water features add to the atmosphere and pleasure of your property.
Retaining Walls/Boulder Walls
Retaining walls are used in places where extra support is needed to prevent the earth from moving downhill due to erosion or storms. The most basic function of a retaining wall is to push back gravity. Whether you have noticed mud streaks on your property after a heavy rain or are concerned about that possibility happening; a retaining wall can prevent soil erosion from clogging important areas on your property. Retaining walls diminish erosion by decreasing the angle of a slope and hold back soil. Boulder walls create a visually appealing look that adds to your landscape design. Our crew can design a stone/boulder wall that looks like it always belonged. Making a terrace or terracing for a steeper slope is another way to prevent erosion by dividing hilly areas into smaller sections where runoff water is more easily distributed. Stone terraces also allow for more landscaping options.
Drainage Solutions
We offer several options for drainage issues. The French drain, which is a trench filled with a perforated pipe and gravel that allows water to drain naturally from your yard, this drain is designed to protect your foundation from water damage, saving money in costly foundation repairs. Downspout drainage is a waterspout or drainage pipe which carries away rainwater from a rain gutter. It is used to prevent the water to reach the ground without dripping or splashing down the home. The focus of all drainage solutions is to drain water away for the home. This is referred to as daylight drainage as the water flows out to the light.

Paver Patios
A permeable patio is a patio constructed with permeable pavers instead of more traditional paving materials like concrete. Patios come in many styles and shadings of color. Reclaimed bluestone is great for providing a non-slip surface. Patios can be linked into your firepit and seating area by pathways or be standalone. (We do not offer cement patios)

Paver driveways will last decades, If you want a driveway that both stands the test of weather and time while looking great doing it, call us!
Excavation
Many projects will require the use of soil removal and we have the equipment to do it. Retaining and boulder walls need to have soil removed so the walls can be built. Regardless of how long the retaining wall you need, we can do the job. Our crew does site prep as well as grading for projects. When your yard is more stones than grass, leveling the yard by excavating can allow for more space to enjoy. Excavation allows for the formation of a rock wall or a water featuring a pool with a waterfall. Drainage solutions and driveway projects both require excavations.
Yard Grading
Yard grading is the first step to preparing the yard for other projects. Sculpting or leveling of the yard allows for the placement of hardscape like patios, paths as well as plants and gardens. The size of your yard as well as the quality and characteristics of your soil will play a role in the cost of re-sloping a lawn. This kind of work needs to be done by a professional, as this work requires large equipment that could cause damage to underground pipes, landscaping, or underground wires.
Terraced Landscaping
Sometimes your property is more slope than level. Terracing helps increase the area of property for use and excavation is key to the process. Terraces need to be leveled as often as there can be more than one. This allows for a long slope to become shorter slopes which helps protect the soil and reduces the rate of runoff. Terraces allow for more useable space to be used. Our excavation vehicles can move and level the soil to allow for walls to be built.
